Dr Christophe Clesse, Clinical Psychologist
Last updated: 19 August 2026
1. About me
I am a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). I hold professional indemnity insurance and am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number C2011863.
I practise as an independent sole practitioner.
2. Services
I provide psychological therapy and psychological assessment to adults and couples, online and in person.
I also undertake medico-legal and expert witness work, which is governed by separate terms.
Nothing in these terms constitutes a guarantee of any particular clinical outcome.
3. Fees
Individual therapy, online — 50 minutes — £190
Individual therapy, in person — 50 minutes — £240
Couples therapy, online — 60 minutes — £240
Couples therapy, in person — 60 minutes — £290
Work carried out between sessions, including reports, letters, liaison with other professionals and extended correspondence, is charged separately. I will agree the fee with you in advance of undertaking any such work.
Fees are reviewed annually. I will give at least one month's notice of any change.
4. Payment
Payment is due at the time of booking unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
Where an alternative arrangement has been agreed, invoices are payable within 14 days. I reserve the right to suspend further appointments where fees remain outstanding beyond that period.
5. Cancellation and non-attendance
Appointments may be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge with more than 48 hours' notice.
Where less than 48 hours' notice is given, the full session fee is payable.
Where you do not attend an appointment and give no notice, the full session fee is payable.
This applies regardless of the reason for the cancellation. The time is reserved for you and cannot usually be offered to anyone else at short notice.
In exceptional circumstances, such as sudden serious illness or bereavement, I may waive the fee at my discretion. This is a discretion and not an entitlement.
6. Lateness
If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time and the full fee applies.
If I have not heard from you 20 minutes after the scheduled start time, I will treat the appointment as a non-attendance.
7. If I need to cancel
If I cancel an appointment, no fee is payable and I will offer you an alternative time as soon as possible.
If I am unable to give reasonable notice because of illness or emergency, I will contact you as early as I can and there will be no charge.
8. Insurance-funded sessions
Where your treatment is funded by a private medical insurer, you remain responsible for:
-
any shortfall between my fee and the amount your insurer pays;
-
any excess under your policy;
-
any sessions your insurer declines to fund; and
-
cancellation and non-attendance charges, which insurers do not fund.
It is your responsibility to confirm your cover, your authorisation number, and the number of sessions approved before treatment begins.
9. Online sessions
Online sessions are conducted through a secure video platform. You will receive a link with your booking confirmation.
For online sessions you agree to:
-
attend from a private space where you will not be overheard or interrupted;
-
provide the address you will be at during the session, so that emergency services can be directed there if necessary;
-
provide the name and contact details of your GP and of an emergency contact.
Sessions are not recorded by me. You may not record a session without my prior written agreement.
If the connection fails, I will attempt to reconnect. If we cannot continue, I will contact you to rearrange. Time lost to technical failure at my end will not be charged.
10. Communication between sessions
I check email and messages during working hours on working days. I aim to respond within three working days.
I do not provide an emergency or out of hours service. If you need urgent help, please see the crisis information provided at the start of our work and on this website.
Email is not a secure medium. Please do not use it to send clinically sensitive material unless we have agreed to it.
11. Records and confidentiality
I keep clinical records of our work. These are held securely and are subject to my privacy policy, which sets out what I hold, why, and for how long.
What we discuss is confidential, subject to the limits set out in the consent form and the privacy policy. I will explain these limits at the outset.
12. Ending the work
You may end the work at any time. I would normally encourage a final session to review and close properly, but this is your decision.
I may end the work if I judge that I am not the right clinician for your needs, if you require a level of support I cannot safely provide, or if fees remain unpaid. Where I do so I will explain my reasons and, where appropriate, help you identify alternative provision.
13. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of my service, please tell me. My complaints procedure explains how to raise a concern and what happens next.
14. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms. Any change applies from the date it is published and does not affect appointments already booked.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
By booking an appointment you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
