Complaints Procedure

Dr Christophe Clesse, Clinical Psychologist

Last updated: 19 August 2026

I take complaints seriously. If you are unhappy with any aspect of my service, I would rather hear about it directly and have the chance to put it right.

Raising a concern will not affect the care you receive.

How to complain:

Contact me in whichever way you find easiest:

Email: drchristophe.clesse@outlook.com

Telephone: 07384 282175

You do not need to use any particular form of words. It helps if you can tell me what happened, when, and what you would like me to do.

If you would prefer someone else to complain on your behalf, that is fine, but I will need your written agreement before I can discuss your care with them.

What happens next:

Within 5 working days I will acknowledge your complaint in writing and confirm what I have understood the concern to be.

Within 20 working days I will send you a full written response setting out what I have looked into, what I have concluded, and what I propose to do.

If I need longer, for example because I need to seek advice, I will tell you why and give you a new date.

If you are not satisfied:

If my response does not resolve matters, you have several routes open to you. You may use any of them at any stage, and you do not have to complain to me first.

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
My statutory regulator. It considers concerns about a registrant's fitness to practise.
Telephone: 0300 500 6184
hcpc-uk.org

British Psychological Society (BPS)
My professional membership body, which operates its own conduct process for members.
bps.org.uk

Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
For complaints specifically about how your personal data has been handled.
Helpline: 0303 123 1113
ico.org.uk

Your insurer
If your treatment was funded by a private medical insurer, you may also raise the matter with them.

Records of complaints:

I keep a record of complaints and how they were resolved. This is held separately from your clinical record and is used to review and improve my practice.

Confidentiality:

Anything you tell me in the course of a complaint is treated confidentially, subject to the same limits that apply to your clinical care.
